‘A high raucous sound of thunderous drums and driving baselines that provides viscerally explosive indie rock & roll, coming through stadium-sized guitar riffs and powerful vocals.’

'Melodic as well as thunderous... violent yet beautiful... you have found your new favourite band'

- Our Sound Music

Columbia are based in Cardiff and have been together since 2019. The band was formed by school friends Ben (lead guitar) and Craig (vocals/rhythm guitar), who had been in a handful of other bands together and separately over the years. The band recruited bassist Aron 'Sten' Stenning mid-way through recording their debut album - Embrace the Chaos. He fitted in perfectly and brought with him lots of energy and his own unique sound, that has only enhanced the band's sound.

The band released their debut album - Embrace the Chaos - in March 2022 to much praise. The band performed to a sold-out crowd at The Moon, Cardiff to celebrate its release and have enjoyed great reviews of the album since. The band are extremely proud of their debut. An album that was at least 10 years in the making. Since its release the band have played gigs at Camden's Fiddlers Elbow and The Dublin Castle, SWNDfest at The Bunkhouse, Swansea as well as playing on several This Feeling shows supporting The Shakes & The Kairos. With lots of positive reviews and great live shows, the band have been added to the Shiiine On Weekender 2022 show at Butlin's Minehead in November.

The band are also set to release brand-new music in November, with the release of their single Disorder. This song is a brave new sound for the band. Recorded at their now creative home - Kings Road Studio, Cardiff with their producer Sanders. Following its completion, Sanders has since called the track 'the biggest sounding track I've made with a band'. It's a massive anthem that rivals anything that you'll hear this year!

Since the completion of the album, the band signed a management and PR contract with Moon Man Music PR. This is a very exciting development for the band, which has already seen them gain lots of new fans and recognition from music professionals both in the UK and Australia.

With the band due back in the studio at the end of October, 2023 has the potential to be the biggest year yet for a band that has complete belief in their music.

If you've ever listened to their music then you'll know. If you're just catching up...

get ready for something for special!
